ADATS & BPDC 2021: Hybrid Model

COVID-19 continues to disrupt the way we do many things including host meetings. As NADC members are healthcare professionals, we want to ensure their health and safety so that they can continue to provide care without risk to their health and those for whom they care for.

After a number of member surveys, we are also aware that many of our diabetes care teams are very keen to have the opportunity to continue to learn and meet with their colleagues working in diabetes care. For these reasons, we have opted for a ‘hybrid’ meeting model for our ADATS and BPDC meetings this year.

Here is how we think it will work best for all involved:

We will host the live site in Sydney (venue to be confirmed). From this site, we will record all the main presentations and have a full trade display area. Platinum sponsors can provide a lunchtime workshop.

A virtual conference will also be hosted and made available across the Country. Delegates will be encouraged to attend the Live and Hub Sites but if that is not possible, they will be able to enjoy the meeting online. Some sponsorship opportunities are available for our virtual platform.

The Live and Virtual conference will be recorded and made available free of charge to delegates and for a small fee for those that are unable to attend the meetings live.

For those that can’t travel interstate, but would still like to mix with local colleagues, we will be hosting ‘hub’ sites across the country. Member centres will offer up their facilities to host a virtual broadcast of ADATS and BPDC in return for free registration for their staff.

Sponsors will have exclusive access to the delegates with only one sponsor per site. Only one sponsor per Hub will be allowed unless otherwise discussed and agreed with the first sponsor.

Depending on the hub site venue size, a trade display may be available. Sponsorship applications are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All hub sites will be hosting both ADATS and BPDC.

This Hybrid model of ADATS and BPDC aims to meet the needs of our members and sponsors.
