Dr Kenny Clark was Educated in Scotland and after completing a degree in Sports Science, he went on to study medicine at the University of Glasgow. He presented at The International Diabetes Federation conference, Paris in 2003 on the “The effect of hyperglycaemia on high intensity, anaerobic exercise performance”.
Dr Clark fell in love with an Australian girl and emigrated to Townsville in 2008. He did several rural placements whilst attached to the Townsville Hospital and worked in a variety of roles, notably more than 5 years as an ICU Registrar.
Being a Person with Type 1 Diabetes, Dr Clark has a passion for the care and management of Diabetes and general health.
In 2021 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes Care from the University of Warwick. This year he is completing his Master of Science in Diabetes Care with the plan to complete PHD in Diabetes Care next year [ 2023]
In July 2017, he opened The Diabetic GP Clinic. This novel primary care one-stop clinic is custom designed for the complex management of the person with diabetes. This is a fully accredited clinic, with allied health providers and pathology collection under one roof.
