Speaker: Sophie McGough

Sophie McGough is Senior Manager of the Growth and Innovation team at Diabetes WA.  She is also the Co-Lead for the Diabetes Health Network at the Department of Health, Western Australia for which she has established the high-risk foot, working group.

Sophie has over 20 years of clinical experience in primary care-based diabetes education and in recent years has been actively involved in the Kimberley Foot Initiative and Silhouette camera project, North Metropolitan Foot Initiative and WA Foot Care Annual Meeting.  Sophie is a strong advocate for person-centred care and ensuring equitable access to quality diabetes services, particularly in rural and remote regions.
