MEET OUR SPEAKERS
Professor Stephen M. Twigg, MBBS(Hons-I), PhD, FRACP, is a Clinical Academic, physician-scientist translational researcher, Kellion Professor of Endocrinology and Stan Clark Chair in Diabetes, in the Sydney Medical School, and Charles Perkins Centre, the University of Sydney;
He commenced as Head of Central Clinical School in July, 2022.
He continues as Head of Dept of Endocrinology and Medical Head of the Greg Brown Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Laboratories, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney.
He is a classic Clinical Academic, leading across the spectrum of research, teaching&learning, and clinical care, in utilising each aspect of academia to reinforce the others.
Prof. Twigg is a well-known national and international presenter, including with invited speaker at IDF, American Diabetes Association, across Asia (Malaysia, Japan, Philippines) and in New Zealand, and domestically at the Australasian Diabetes Congress (2018, 2020 2021), Diabetes Feet Australia (2019, 2021), and NADC (2018-2021) scientific and educational meetings.
