We would like to invite you to be a part of the Primary Care Diabetes Summit 2019.

Organised by the National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC) and the Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia (PCDSA), this one-day summit will combine cutting edge scientific content with practical clinical sessions basing the education on much more than just knowing ‘the guidelines’. Primary Care models of care, systems and strategies for diabetes practice management will also be explored and practically presented.

The summit program has been specifically designed for all primary care clinicians working in diabetes care so to;

  • Advance their education and learning in the field of diabetes health care
  • Promote best practice standards and clinically effective care in the management of diabetes
  • Facilitate the collaboration between health professionals to improve the quality of diabetes primary care across Australia

The distinguished panel of speakers will share their specialised experience in an environment conducive to optimal learning. Ample time for questions and the opportunity for audience participation and networking will be available.

Primary Care Diabetes Summit registrants will be provided with a detailed certificate of attendance that can be used as evidence of continuing professional development.

We look forward to welcoming you to the summit.

Your chance to share your stories of managing diabetes in Primary Care

We have a philosophy at NADC that we should learn from the successes and failures of others and there is no point reinventing the wheel. This is why our one-day meeting focused on Primary Care and diabetes, titled the ‘Primary Care Diabetes Summit’ (PCDS) will provide organisations with the opportunity to share their stories – including the good, bad and the ugly.

We are looking for presentations on:

-Rural and metro models of diabetes primary care that has worked for your service

-Examples of services successfully using recall systems

-Databases used for improved diabetes care

For your chance to be selected as one of the presenters at this year’s meeting, please submit your abstract by clicking here.
