Topic: Pathways to Diabetes Prevention – a Spotlight on group health coaching and the Life! Program

Speakers: Luke Daley, Craig Harrison, Hayley Owens and Libby Szetho

Luke Daley – Registered Nutritionist Daley Nutrition (Melbourne)

Luke is the co-founder of Daley Nutrition, nutritionist and university lecturer.  He’s passionate about nutrition, education, diabetes prevention and sports nutrition. So inspired by his work with the Life! program at Diabetes Victoria, when Luke moved into full time private practice work, he became an accredited Life! Program facilitator allowing him to continue to work in the preventative health space which has seen him continue to have an significant impact on diabetes prevention landscape throughout Victoria.

Craig Harrison – Accredited Exercise Physiologist Exercise for Rehabilitation & Health (Melbourne)

Craig is a highly experienced and sought-after Exercise Physiologist, recognised for his high attention to detail and caring approach. One of Melbourne’s leading practitioners in treating lower back pain, Craig’s expert approach helps those managing complex and persistent pain to better understand their movement potential through specialist assessment, treatment planning and creating a unique rehabilitation pathway using clinical exercise.  He is very experienced in managing tendinopathies and bursitis and collaborates with various Melbourne based Rheumatologists.

With experience in occupational rehabilitation and manual handling retraining, he is well positioned to help individuals recovering from a workplace injury.

Hayley Owens – Accredited Exercise Physiologist Exercise for Rehabilitation & Health (Melbourne)

Hayley is an experienced practitioner with special interests in Vestibular rehabilitation, exercise oncology and mental health. She is the lead Life! Program facilitator at the practice where she has coached hundreds of Victorians to a road of better health. She has been instrumental in the role out of our virtual Life! Programs in clinic as well as the delivery of the programs in a number of workplaces. She contributes to Diabetes Victoria publications and presents regularly at community events.

Libby Szetho joined the Life! team as the Primary Care Engagement Officer this year. She has qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, with a passion for health promotion. Libby has worked in both the private health insurance and primary healthcare sector.
